Almost another Year

Almost another year full of new hopes and expectations. Another year in which we can almost see caramel rivers flowing. Full of light, hope, goals, dreams, etc., etc.

But... Are you really waiting for January first at 00:00 a.m. to put fuel on? Are you waiting until you have to change the last digit on your dates? Do you need a "new year, new me" to start going? You have a fresh new start this morning, today, right now. 

I think that most of new year´s resolutions are not fulfill because of what I just wrote; we expect the new year to make the change when in reality, we are the ones who decide to change. I am a hundred percent sure that you can wait for as much "new years, new mes" as you want, but if you don´t decide to do something, you are going to stay in the you of 2013. 

Don´t wait for a bunch of updates on social media about the new year, there is enough inspiration in today, in those fresh, new clouds the sky have gifted us. You are reading this when the day already started? Okay, turn the end of this day into something completely different; turn the day into something you didn´t expected. Surprise your dreariness. Is it night? That´s better! You have a lot of expectancy for tomorrow. 

Plan, write what you want to change. List what you´ve been wanting to do. Change. Probably small at the beginning, but decide to change. 

You have a "new you" right now, don´t wait for another year.

What I am into

Months have passed, and this year is almost finished... It is November now! Wow! I haven´t write as much as I would like to in this blog... But I am getting into it. 

A lot of things have passed in this year. I have done and learned multiple things... and I want to share some of them.

So... What I´ve been into this year and what I will write about.

Art, ukulele, books, writing, cooking, moving, and experiencing!

I have been drawing and painting a lot... I am actually in art classes (kind of) in my school. So I thought it will be nice to show what I have done.

This year my ukulele arrived (I ordered it last year in Amazon). And I have been learning and playing (like a noob) some music. I really love it. I thought I might also show some of that.

I really enjoy reading but I am really bad at habits. So I might start feeling very excited about a book and leaving it halfway. That´s not cool, I know. But this year (today to be precise) I finished reading a book! I started reading it in July and it´s not a lengthy book so I don´t feel THAT proud... but is okay, I did it.

I really enjoy writing (I have a blog, duh). But for some odd reason the best of my works have been for school... I know... weird. It´s probably the time limit, the rubrics of evaluations, the specific topic or just the good aura some teachers give me, that makes me want to work in an excellent way. So I thought some of my works might help someone out or at least, entertain.

Cooking, specifically baking. Cooking is something I´ve like since little but I am a real noob. So why not share my noobness:)

And last but definitely not least: Moving. I was trying to keep an anonymous identity in this blog but my wise and a lot more experienced man in this things of writing, told me that I should write as Cesia, myself. So last year we moved, from Honduras to Nicaragua (Central America) and it has been an interesting experience, definitely.

So in conclusion, I am going to start writing more about myself, what I like, what I do; what I enjoy... Hope you also do.

Thoughts about Words

You are responsible for every single word that comes out of your mouth. What we can do with a simple word is powerful, be careful.

With a single word you can destroy someone or help him not to fall, it depends on you.

“I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” -Maya Angelou.

In the end, are you going to feel okay with the way you used your words? Words are a power, use them wisely. They can build and also destroy.

It is incredible what kind words can do. "I am here for you" ''You are beautiful'' ''How are you today?'' "I care about you" "Are you okay?" "Nice hat".  We do not know what are the people around us going through. They might be having a bad day, who knows? Words are free, completely free, but which ones and how you use them, might cost you a lot.

Looking for inspiration?






As a continous searcher of inspiration, I got to the point of thinking that inspiration actually comes from people. Not from places, not from food or pictures, neither from songs or books, etc.

 Why am I saying this? Well, let me ask you... Who makes places look so magical? People. Who makes that delicious, good-looking food? People. Who takes those nice-looking, fascinating pictures? People. Who writes and plays those world-forgetting, mind refreshing songs? You guess it, people. Those time-traveling, time eating books are written by people. PEOPLE. And the list can go on and on.

I always get amazed of thinking how different and unique every single person in this world is. Honestly, in my humble opinion, I think that whoever created us, is a complete GENIUS or even more than that.

I think that life is composed of three basic concepts: The journey of building ourselves, the way we impact others, and the way others make an impact in us.

And for me, that is inspiration. People, you, your own life.

And you may think you are not a source of inpiration for yourself but, who knows? It can be for others.

So those three basic concepts should be enough inspiration for a lifetime.

Life can be so unpredictable that it may scare us: the fear of failure, unhappiness, deception etc. But we are not going to be able to really live if we walk through the subway station not wanting to board the subway just because we are afraid where it might take us.

Inspiration is so necessary for living and we work so hard to find it, but we don't realize that it's so close.

It is in that aged man across the street that was part of an army.
It is in that nice elementary school teacher that taught you so much.
It is that 55 year old marriage.
In your wise father.
In your warm, lovely grandma.
In your multitasking mother.
In a life-loving fireman.
In your different perspective life-seing brother.
Inspiration is in you.

Go. Talk to people. Ask. Board the subway. Go to what you want your life to be. Inspire and get inspired.

Flower decoration

Mini tip decoration time! Flower decoration! Found this awesome decoration idea and as if the last jar decoration ideas weren't enough, here's an super easy decoration idea.  All I used were some really cute decorative rocks (You can use any peebles you like). I also used some ribbon, a jar and some cute flowers you can find in any craft store.
Doesn't it looks beautiful? Super easy flower decoration!
